Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1) What does the Analyzer do?

It estimates your next 12 weeks of cash distributions from dividend-paying ETFs, shows DRIP vs. no-DRIP outcomes, and overlays a ~1-year price chart with dividend history. You can upload a simple CSV of your positions or view a curated “Gold List” leaderboard.

2) How do I get started?

Upload a CSV with the exact header:

Ticker, Shares

Example:

Ticker, Shares
ULTY,250
CONY,100

Then click GO to generate projections, totals, and charts.

3) Is there a ticker limit in uploads?

Yes. For performance and readability, uploads are capped (currently 10 tickers). If you include more, only the first set is processed.

4) Where does your data come from?

Issuer-reported distribution histories plus market/price data aggregated into our managed database. We strive for accuracy, but always verify before investing—distributions can change without notice.

5) How often is data updated?

We refresh source data regularly and re-cache it across the day. Some issuers update on different schedules, so you may see brief delays.

6) What do “weekly” and “monthly” cadence mean?

They reflect how often a fund typically pays. We infer cadence from the spacing of recent payments (and, when available, the issuer’s own history). Some funds can change cadence—our model adapts as new payments arrive.

7) How do you estimate “Est Div per Share” and APR?

We compute a run-rate per share from the most recent payments (a small rolling window), then annualize by cadence (weekly≈52, monthly≈12) to show a ballpark APR. It’s not a guarantee—just a forward-looking estimate based on recent history.

8) What’s the difference between “With DRIP” and “No DRIP” charts?

  • No DRIP assumes cash payouts with shares held constant.

  • With DRIP reinvests each payout at the nearest available price, increasing shares over time.

9) Why do some price lines connect across gaps?

We purposely “connect over” missing dates so your price line stays readable. Dividend bars still show on their dates.

10) What does the “Price (~1Y) + Dividend History” chart show?

A one-year price line with dividend bars on the dates they were paid. Two y-axes keep price and dividend scales legible.

11) What is the APR Leaderboard?

A combined list of uploaded tickers + our Gold List, ranked by estimated APR. It’s a quick way to spot tickers with higher recent run-rates.

12) What is the Paid Report?

A printable, post-purchase report that includes, for each ticker:

  • The same metadata section (name, inception date, company, website, description)

  • Two area charts (DRIP vs. no-DRIP) using 10 shares per ticker

  • The 1-year price + dividend chart

13) How do I access the Paid Report after purchase?

After Stripe checkout, you’re redirected to a dedicated page with a shortcode that renders your report. If you don’t see it, refresh once and make sure you’re logged in to the account used at checkout.

14) Can I print or save the report as PDF?

Yes. Use the Print / Save PDF button at the top of the report. Your browser’s print dialog can “Save as PDF.”

15) I see “No tickers available / No results found.” What should I check?

  • If using the Paid Report, confirm the URL has ?tickers=SYMA,SYMB or that your Gold List/database includes those tickers.

  • If uploading, ensure your CSV header is exactly Ticker,Shares and each row has a valid positive share count.

16) Why is a ticker missing or metadata incomplete?

Some funds publish data inconsistently or change URLs. We’ll fill gaps as issuers update. If something looks off, send the ticker and a link to the issuer’s distribution page—we’ll investigate.

17) How accurate are the projections?

Projections are best-effort estimates based on recent payments and typical timing. Issuers can change amounts, cadence, and dates without notice. Treat results as informational, not investment advice.

18) What browsers are supported?

The latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. If charts don’t render, try a hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-R) and disable aggressive ad/script blockers on the page.

19) How do payments work?

We use Stripe for secure checkout. Subscriptions renew monthly. You can cancel anytime—access remains active through the current billing period.

20) How do I cancel?

Go to Account, open Billing, and click Customer Portal. You will see a Stripe page where you can cancel your account but also update your payment method.  Or contact support and we’ll help!

21) Do you offer refunds?

If something isn’t working for you, reach out within 7 days of purchase and we’ll make it right per our refund policy.

22) Is my payment information stored on your servers?

No. Stripe handles all payment details. We don’t store or see your full card data.

24) How do you protect my data?

  • Your uploads stay in your session for processing the report; we do not resell your data.

  • API keys and server logic run server-side.

  • We use HTTPS across the site.

25) I purchased but the report page says I’m not authorized.

Make sure you’re logged in with the same email you used at checkout. If you still can’t access the page, contact support with your receipt email.

26) Can you add my favorite ETF?

Probably! Send the ticker and (ideally) a link to the issuer’s distributions page, and we’ll work to add reliable coverage.

27) How can I contact support?

Email us at [email protected] with your browser, page URL, and a screenshot (or the exact error text). We usually reply within one business day.
